Horizons Community Legal Centre

Horizons Community Legal Centre offers a range of services including: a telephone advice line, face to face consultations, legally assisted mediations, pre-court and out-of-court assistance, in-court representation, help for community service workers and seminars.

There is no cost for any initial discussion with us by telephone. If ongoing help is requested, some non-profit charges may apply. Full details of any charges will be disclosed before any work is done.

Telephone Advice Line (02) 9890 1203

Our telephone advice line operates during the following times;
9am to midday Tuesdays; and
9am to midday Thursdays.

Legal advice is not avilable by email. If you wish to obtain advice, please call our telephone advice line during its hours of operation.


Face to Face Consulations

Face to face advice is available at our Sydney North and Sydney South advice clinics, by appointment.

Sydney North Advice Clinic
Venue:    Parramatta Baptist Church Campus
                84-94 Kleins Road, NORTHMEAD
                (once on the campus, follow signs to ‘The Hub’)

Time:     Between 9am & 3pm Thursdays

Sydney South Advice Clinic
Venue:    Georges River Life Care Centre
                23 Stanley Street, PEAKHURST

Time:      9am to Midday on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month

Legally Assisted Mediations

Legally assisted mediations are conducted in co-operation with: 
    • Parramatta Family Relationship Centre, Level 3, 16 Parkes St Parramatta 2150 (phone:        9895 8144); and
    • North Ryde Family Relationship Centre, Unit 1b, North RydeLink Business Par, 277            Lane Cove Road, North Ryde 2113 (phone: 8874 8088).
    • Legally assisted mediations are arranged by the Family  Relationship Centre if the                circumstances of your family require it.

Assistance with Discrete Tasks and Ongoing Representation

Assistance with discrete tasks, out-of-court representation and in-court representation are provided in some circumstances. This help is targeted towards those people in the greatest need without other access to a lawyer.

Seminars

Horizons Community Legal Centre conducts community legal seminars and training from time to time. In the past we have run seminars in conjunction with:

    • Hunters Hill/Ryde Community Services Inc
