Horizons
Community Legal Centre is committed to the principle that all people
should be able to access legal help
regardless of their background or financial situation.
Our telephone advice line is a free service that
anyone in the community can access during its hours of operation.
We offer
further levels of help towards people who:
- Don’t qualify
for Legal Aid and can’t afford a private lawyer:
- Have cases that
are in the public interest:
- Have a special
need because of the type of legal problem they are facing; and/or
- Are
significantly disadvantaged.
Unfortunately,
we do not
provide representation for the following:
- Commercial or
business disputes;
- Taxation issues;
- Property
settlements (family law);
- Buying and
selling land;
- Making Wills or
Powers of Attorney;
- Disputed
estates;
- Immigration;
- Personal
injuries claims (other than claims by victims of violent crime); or
- Workers
compensation claims.
